March Madness 2023 Updates & Highlights

To say the 2023 NCAA Tournament was full of thrills would be quite an understatement. With a #1 and #2 seed dropping in the first round and another #1 going down in the second round, many fans’ brackets were busted within days of the first tip-off. Another key contender that fell early was the defending national champion Kansas Jayhawks. The Elite Eight had the fewest number of 1 and 2 seeded teams in tournament history with only Texas (2) remaining in play. Meanwhile, Kennesaw State made its first ever tournament appearance.

Ultimately, the Final Four consisted of UConn’s Huskies (4) taking down Miami’s Hurricanes (5), and the Aztec Warriors of San Diego State (5) narrowly beating Florida Atlantic’s Owls (9). The championship pitted UConn versus SDSU, with UConn walking away with a 76-59 victory.
