It's 1990, one of the most violent years in the history of Colombia. The war on the State, declared by drug traffickers, has shaken the country. Maruja Pachón, an independent woman, director of the government’s film office, is about to make a major decision in her personal life. But her plans are postponed indefinitely, when she becomes the victim of a kidnapping that changes her destiny forever. Maruja is part of the systematic kidnappings that Pablo Escobar has been planning to prevent the Colombian government from sending criminals to the United States to be tried for crimes that have been committed in Colombia. While Maruja has to figure out how to stay alive in the custody of a hitman nicknamed Monje, her husband Alberto Villamizar, congressman and sworn enemy of drug trafficking, is forced to negotiate with his enemies, who tried to kill him years ago and to go against his deepest beliefs to try to save his wife. Nevertheless, Maruja is not the only victim: a group of journalists has previously been kidnapped along with her, including Diana Turbay, a well-known journalist, daughter of a former president who fought a hard battle against drug trafficking. Diana was kidnapped months before, along with a team of journalists from the newsroom that she directs and she feels responsible for having led her employees into the lion’s den. In this macabre game the most valuable lives are those of the powerful, with political links, those that serve Escobar in his quest to corner the government. The lives of others have little value in this awful negotiation. While Alberto finds himself forced deviate from the institutional path to move forward and to get closer to Pablo Escobar, Maruja and the other hostages struggle, day after day, to adapt to the difficult conditions of the kidnapping, but above all, to stay sane.

Common Things to Look
Out For:
While Reddit can be a great source of information about shows and movies, it's important to be careful which subreddits you view. Some subreddits pertaining to streaming, particularly free streaming, can be dangerous as they may contain links to illegal streaming sites and services. These sites should be avoided as they are often not authorized to distribute the content and may also infect your device with malware or viruses. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is, so stick to Reddits that discuss legitimate, legal sources only.
